Sri Ramakunjeshwara Vidhyalaya is a new institution, emerging in Ramakunja, the birth place of the great seer Late Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Sri Pejavara Mutt, Udupi. In fact, its roots can be traced back to an old tree of knowledge, called Sri Ramakunjeshwara Vidhyavardhaka Sabha, which was formed in Ramakunja more than 100 years ago.

The formation of this organisation by the local people, is a clear manifestation of their deep thirst for knowledge. The Veda Patashala, started by this organisation some 100 years ago, became a parent institution for many other successful institutions, like Sri Ramakunjeshwara Sanskrit Higher Primary School, Sri Ramakunjeshwara Kannada Medium High School, Sri Ramakunjeshwara English Medium High School, Sri Ramakunjeshwara Samskrutha Patashala and Sri Ramakunjeshwara P U College. Sri Ramakunjeshwara Vidhyalaya is the latest addition to this cluster of institutions.

Excellence Rooted in Tradition

The greatness of all these institutions, is that they are specially blessed by the Late Seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Sri Pejavara Mutt, Udupi, who personally guided these institutions during his life time. At present the institution is headed and guided by Sri Sri Sri Vishwa Prasanna Theertha Swamiji of Sri Pejavara Mutt, Udupi, the successor of Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji.
Sri Ramakunjeshwara Vidhyalaya is near the Uppinangady Subrahmanya State Highway, some 13 kms away from Uppinangady.
The institution is gifted with a calm and peaceful natural atmosphere, specially conducive for learning. Well qualified, committed teachers, majestic building, vast play ground, well furnished science, mathematics & IT laboratories, library, smart classes, free karate, abacus & craft classes etc are the special features of this institution. Education should promote the all-round development of the students; modern education should survive along with the ancient culture and knowledge tradition of India; remoteness and rural location should not become a road block on the path of a student’s academic progress; a student’s financial backwardness should not deprive him/ her of top quality education; these are our guiding principles.
